Dear Contesters,
It is with great pleasure that we present to you the final results of the EUDX Contest 2024. Now in its fourth edition, this vibrant competition continues to draw enthusiasts from across Europe and beyond, showcasing their prowess in radio communication and fostering a spirit of friendly competition.
The EUDX Contest 2024 has once again proven to be a thrilling event, with participants demonstrating their dedication and expertise. This year, a total of 1971 logs were received, highlighting the growing popularity of the contest among amateur radio operators. Among these logs, 1245 originated from stations within Europe, while 726 hailed from DX stations, illustrating the diverse participation from both local and international communities.
One notable aspect of this year’s contest was the slight shift in log submissions. While there was an increase of 19 logs from EU stations, there was a corresponding decrease of 29 logs from DX stations. Despite this fluctuation, organizers expressed satisfaction with the overall turnout, noting that it remained consistent with previous years. Looking ahead, they are optimistic about implementing improvements for the next edition in 2025, with plans to introduce minor adjustments to the rules to enhance the experience for participants.
Among the various categories, the Single Operator All Band CW Low emerged as the most popular, attracting 325 logs. Another significant data point was the sharp decrease in incorrect logs, thanks also to our awareness campaign (see the post “Mastering Accuracy: A Guide to Verifying Your EUDX Contest Cabrillo File“).
The highest number of participants in the European Union countries goes to Germany with 272 (39 more than last year), followed by Italy with 189 (30 more than last year) and Poland with 112.
The highest number of participants in the DXcountries goes to Russia with 165 followed by Indonesia with 84 and USA with 82.
