- Multi-Transmitter Distributed (MULTI-DISTRIBUTED) (*)
- SWL-MIXED
(*) multi-Transmitter Distributed category.
Stations operating in this category may have a maximum of six transmitted signals, one per band at any one time, from stations in different locations.
All equipment, including remotely-controlled equipment, must be located in the same DXCC entity and same ITU Zone.
d. For Single-Operator categories, only one signal is permitted at any time. Use of packet cluster, skimmers or any other alerting system is permitted for all entrants. Self spotting or asking other stations to spot you is not allowed.
e. Dual-CQ on the same band is forbitten.
f. For Multi-Operator Multi-TX stations only one transmitted signal per band is permitted.
g. Bands: from 10m through 160m, except WARC bands, are allowed according to IARU Band Plans.
3. QSO Points
a. European Union stations:
QSO with your own country – 2 point,
QSO with another European Union country – 10 points,
QSO with a non-European Union country in your continent – 3 points,
QSO with another continent – 5 points.
b. Non- European Union stations:
QSO with European Union – 10 points,
QSO with your own country – 2 points,
QSO with a different country in your continent – 3 points,
QSO with another continent – 5 points.
4. Exchange
• European Union stations will send RST and a two-letter & two-number code to identify their regions (see point 7).
• Other stations will send RST and ITU zone.
5. Multipliers
• European Union Region: A multiplier of one (1) for each different European Union Region contacted on each band;
• Country: A multiplier of one (1) for each different country contacted on each band. The DXCC entity list, Worked All Europe (WAE) multiplier list plus IG9/IH9, and continental boundaries are the standards for defining country multipliers.
Example: the first QSO with a EU station in a contest band will be worth both as country and as region multiplier.
6. Final Score
- All stations: the final score is the result of the total QSO points multiplied by the sum of EUR (European Union Region) and country multipliers.
- Ranking of European Union Stations and of DX Stations will be shown separately.
7. The European Union Regions (by call-area) are the following:

8. Dupes
Dupes are contacts made with the same station on the same band and mode. Dupes are worth 0 points.
9. QSO
You can make up to 2 QSO with the same station on the same band – CW and SSB. CW QSOs must be made in the CW portion of the band but only the first QSO is valid for multiplier point in that band.
10. General Note
• All the transmitters and receivers must be located within a circle with 500m maximum radius. All the antennas used by each participant must be physically connected via cables with the transmitters and receivers.
• Remote operation is permitted if the physical location of all transmitters, receivers, and antennas are at one station location. (for example: If a station from Eu has a remote station in Bahamas and he works with his Eu callsign – this is not permitted. If a station from Eu has a remote station in Bahamas and he uses an C6 callsign – this is legal remote)
• The using of WEB Clusters and Packet radio systems are allowed to all participants.
• Using transmitters and receivers from different locations connected via internet is considered to be unsportsmanlike and it is one of the reason for disqualification.
• Self-spotting on clusters is not permitted.
• Requesting QSOs via phone, telegrams, internet, radio packet during the contest is considered to be self-spotting and is not allowed, leading disqualification.
• The participants in the Single Operator category are allowed to change bands and operating modes without restrictions. However, only one single signal is permitted to be “on the air” at the same time.
• The MOST stations must obey the “10 minutes rule”. Time spent in one band starts to count from the moment when the first QSO is done in that band. Only one single signal is permitted to be “on the air” at the same time.
11. Definitions
• Single Operator: are those stations under which a single person is in charge with the following duties: operate the radio station, QSO logging and spotting. There is no limit on operating time or band changes.
• All the MIXT categories can operate with the same station both in CW and SSB. Qso contacts in CW within the SSB band segments and vice versa are forbidden.
• Multi-Single: Only one transmitted signal on one band is permitted during any 10-minute period (run station/signal). Exception: the station worked is a new multiplier. The run and multiplier transmitters are governed by independent 10-minute rules.
• Multi-Multi: The six contest bands may be activated simultaneously. Only one transmitted signal per band is permitted at any time.
12. Logs
• Logs are accepted only in CABRILLO electronic format 3.0
• Participants pursuing a ranking in the top 3 in any of the categories listed at point 2 are required to enter in the log the exact frequency of each QSO performed (using a CAT system), having as a minimum unit 1 kHz. The ranking in the Top 3 for any of the categories of participation will be validated only under the conditions of entering in the log the exact frequency of each QSO, or by making available to the referees the audio recording of the period of participation in the contest.
• Checklogs are accepted.
13. Log Submission
• All the Logs must be sent to the contest organizers in maximum 7 (seven) days from the end of the competition. (No later than 2025-02-09 12:00:00)
• Each Log will be confirmed via e-mail as well as by placing it in the “List of the received Logs” on the specified webpage.
14. Awards
• Plaques and printed diplomas will be awarded for the first places of each category listed at the Point 2.c depending on the sponsors. Electronic pdf diploma will be awarded fot all participants.
15. Penalties and disqualifications
• Logs will be carefully checked by the Contest Committee and mistakes may cause a score reduction. There are no penalties applied to erroneous QSOs, but unsportsmanlike conduct may lead to disqualification. Unsportsmanlike conduct may be found in the LOG data as well in any other recording mean available to the Committee.
• All Contest Committee decisions are official and final.
16. Implicit Declaration:
By submitting an entry in the EU-DX Contest you agree that:
• you have read and understood the rules of the contest and agree to be bound by them;
• you have operated according to all the rules and regulations of your country that pertain to amateur radio;
• your log entry may be made open to the public;
• all actions and decisions of the EU-DX Contest Committee are official and final.
